File Setup

Artwork & File Preparation

1Set up your document at the finished (folded) size with 3mm bleed on all outer edges. Do not add bleed to fold lines — only to trim edges.

2For folded pieces, ensure panel widths account for paper thickness. The inner panel of a tri-fold should be 2–3mm narrower than the outer panels to fold cleanly.

3Supply a flat, unfolded PDF showing all panels in their correct reading order. Include a folding diagram or mock-up if the fold sequence is non-standard.

4Keep all text and logos at least 5mm from fold lines and 5mm from trim edges to avoid content being cut or obscured.

5Images should be 300 dpi at final print size. Low-resolution images will appear pixelated in print even if they look sharp on screen.

6Accepted formats: PDF/X-1a (preferred), AI, INDD (packaged with links and fonts), PSD at 300 dpi.

Colour & Proofing

Colour Matching & Proof Approval

A digital PDF proof is provided for every order, showing all panels flat. Please check fold sequence, panel content, and colour before approving.

For brochures with critical brand colours, we recommend a physical proof to verify colour accuracy before committing to a full print run.

Coated stocks (gloss or matte) produce richer, more saturated colour. Uncoated stocks absorb ink and produce a softer, more natural appearance — factor this into your design.

Folding can cause slight cracking on heavy coated stocks. Scoring before folding minimises this — we score all folded pieces as standard on stocks above 150gsm.
