File Setup

Artwork & File Preparation

1Supply artwork at 100–150 dpi at the final print size. A 10ft banner supplied at 150 dpi will produce excellent results — do not scale up a 300 dpi A4 file to banner size.

2Set up your document at the exact finished size (or a proportional scale, e.g. 1:10) with 5mm bleed on all sides.

3Use CMYK colour mode. For large-format, slight colour variation between screen and print is normal — we recommend a test print for colour-critical applications.

4Keep all critical text and logos at least 25mm inside the trim edge for banners, and at least 10mm for posters.

5For vehicle graphics, supply a template of the vehicle make, model, and year. We can provide templates for most common vehicles.

6Accepted formats: PDF (preferred), AI, PSD (flattened, 100–150 dpi at final size), TIFF.

Colour & Proofing

Colour Matching & Proof Approval

A digital PDF proof is provided for all large-format orders. For colour-critical applications (brand events, retail displays), a physical test print is available.

Large-format inkjet printing produces slightly different colour characteristics to offset press printing. If your large-format materials need to match offset-printed collateral, please advise us and we will calibrate accordingly.

Outdoor media colours may appear slightly different indoors under artificial light. We recommend viewing a test print under the intended lighting conditions for critical applications.

Lamination affects colour appearance — gloss laminate intensifies colours; matte laminate softens them. We can provide a laminated test swatch on request.
